STUDIO FAQS

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are located in Waimalu Shopping Center across Best Buy. We are on the second floor above the CBD store all the way down the hallway to the right. We do have a lot of parking but because there is a lot of eateries, from the time of 11am-2pm the parking lot can get busy and crowded. If your appointment is around this time, please insure you come a bit early to ensure you are able to find a parking stall.

HOW LONG ARE THE SERVICES?

Facials are typically 60-80 minutes, except for mini facials which are about 45 minutes long. Waxing can range from 10-40 minutes depending on the body part and how much hair there is. Advanced peels are typically 40 minutes. Skin lightening usually takes about 30 minutes. When making your appointment always make sure there are no overlapping engagements with the service(s) you schedule. If for some reason you need to cancel/reschedule, please let us know ASAP or there may be a cancellation fee depending on how far out you cancel/reschedule from your appointment.

FACIALS FAQS

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO PREP BEFORE MY FACIAL APPOINTMENT?

We recommend not wearing make-up for your appointment, but if you are, no worries we can remove it for you. We also recommend avoiding skin care products with Retinoids and Acids (AHA & BHA) for 72 hours before your appointment, so your skin isn't too sensitive during the service. Also avoid getting a sunburn before your appointment; again, so your skin isn't too sensitive during the service.

WHICH FACIAL SHOULD I CHOOSE?

The Classic Facial is a great introduction to facials and great for dry to normal skin types. Our Acne-Fighting Facial is great for clients with acne, congestion, and/or oily skin. The Anti-Aging Facial is great for mature skin or clients who are wanting to prevent their skin from aging prematurely. For clients looking for instant results we have our Dermaplaning Facial. Lastly, we have our Vajacial with is a facial for your kitty after you get a brazilian or bikini and is great for clients who are prone to ingrowns.

WHAT IS DERMAPLANING?

Dermaplaning is a form of physically exfoliating the face to give the skin a smooth and bright complexion. While all skin types are able to get this service done, we recommend choosing a different facial if you have any active/raised acne or a sunburn. Once your acne has subsided or your sunburn has healed, then you can schedule for this service. Dermaplaning is great for clients who have a big event happening soon and need instant results in a short amount of time.

WHAT IS A VAJACIAL?

Are you someone that is prone to ingrowns after you shave or wax your kitty? Then this service is for you. A vajacial is a facial for your kitty that is focused on exfoliation and extractions to get those stubborn ingrowns out.

ADVANCED PEEL FAQS

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO PREP BEFORE MY PEEL APPOINTMENT?

One week before your appointment discontinue any topical prescriptions or any products containing Retinol or Vitamin A. Avoid waxing, electrolysis, depilatory cream, and laser hair removal treatments for 5-7 days before treatment. Avoid sun exposure, both indoor and outdoor. Do not receive Botox or dermal filler. Lastly, discontinue all use of AHA, BHA, benzoyl peroxide products, or any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF GETTING A CHEMICAL PEEL?

Depending on which peel treatment you choose will depend on the benefits. But overall, peels are a type of exfoliate that helps improve skin texture, brightens the skin, and helps with concerns such as aging and acne. For best results, a series of 6-8 peels at 2-4 week intervals is suggested.

WHAT IS AFTERCARE LIKE?

The week after your chemical peel is crucial to the health of your skin and the success of your peel. Please keep your skin care routine on the gentle side and consult with us with products you can and cannot us. Please avoid and take precautions of the following: excess perspiring, chlorine, scrubs, pick or peel your skin, sun exposure, glycolic, retinol, Retinol-A, and shaving.

SKIN LIGHTENING FAQS

WHAT IS THE PROCESS LIKE?

No matter what area is getting treated, the treatment itself takes about 30 minutes. It's is a 4 step layering process and I will be using the help of LED light therapy to infuse the products deeper into the skin. The layers will be left on the skin when you walk out of the treatment room. Because it'll absorb in the skin, when we're done you wont feel sticky or anything like that.

WHAT IS AFTERCARE LIKE?

When you come in, please wear loose clothes that won't rub against the area that is getting treated. Please allow the products to absorb into the skin for about 4-6 hours, highly recommended to just go to bed with in on. During those 4-6 hours please avoid getting water on the treated area or else it's gonna ruin the layers. Avoid any type of extreme movement that will cause you to sweat, after you appointment just stay in a cool and catch up on your favorite Netflix show.

WAXING FAQS

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO PREP BEFORE MY WAXING APPOINTMENT?

Please do not wear any lotion or makeup before you come in, so we don't have to spend as much time cleaning the skin. But if you do come in with lotion or makeup on already, we don't mind cleaning it up. If you are doing body waxing, we recommend to exfoliating 24 hours before your appointment to prep the skin.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WAXING?

The main benefit of waxing over shaving is that the hair is pulled out from the root, leading to sparser and thinner hair growth over time. Results can last between 3-6 weeks and when your hair does start growing back it won't be itchy or prickly. The best part is the more you're consistent with waxing, the less you have to come in. For example, I've been waxing my legs for over a year. At first I had to wax my legs every 3 weeks, but now I only wax every 6 weeks.

HOW LONG SHOULD MY HAIR BE?

To be able to wax your hair it should be at least the length of a long grain of rice or about 3/4 inches. Hair grows in 3 stages, especially for people who are new to waxing, for the first 3-5 appointments your hair will be growing in different stages. Even though most of your hair will be the perfect length, you will have some that will be too short to wax. But consistence is key, the more consistent you are the more even your hair growth will be.

WHAT IS AFTERCARE LIKE?

To allow your skin to breathe, do not apply lotions or creams that may cause irritation or a reaction for at least 48 hours after your appointment. No peels, exercising, tanning or wet room services, swimming, spas, or hot tubs for at least 48 hours after your appointment. Especially for brazilian and bikini waxes, no sex for at least 24 hours as your skin will be prone to infection and irritation. If you're getting any body waxing done, no tight clothes for at least 24 hours after your appointment. We also recommend either chemically or physically exfoliating 24 hours after your appointment.
